Welcome to our August Update!

We hope you all enjoyed the month of July, and are looking forward to what’s to come in August.

July has been a great month for all the Children and Team. We have welcomed some new children to the nursery and sadly had to say goodbye to some of our Pre-Schoolers, we wish them all the best of luck in their journeys and hope to see a few pictures of them in their school uniforms!

During July we celebrated the National Days of Canada, America and France. We had an excellent tea party for Bastille Day, where we enjoyed a selection of French cuisine and our French teacher joined us to sing some of our French songs. We made crescent moons to celebrate Eid al–Fitr and greeting cards. We also had our very own teddy bear picnic; there were some brilliant dressed teddy bears in the nursery! To celebrate the opening of Disney land in 1955 we also had a Disney themed day and made our own Minnie and Mickey Mouse faces. Finally, we had a great trip visiting our local park for National Park Week.

Coming up in August we will be exploring the sound of jazz music to celebrate Louis Armstrong’s birthday. We will experience a day in a ‘Left hand zone’ for International Left Handers Day. For World Cat day we will share our pet and favourite animal photographs. We will be fundraising for Jeans for Gene’s Day and will be wearing our jeans to nursery, we will also be dressing up for our special Beach Themed Day. The children will also be participating in their own Olympic Games for the Rio 2016.
