Stars Update – December 2016

    Welcome to our December Update!

    November has been an exciting month; the children have taken part in different fundraising events such as raising money for Children In Need. We took part in the 2 minute silence for Remembrance Day, and learnt about road Safety.

    During December we are looking forward to celebrating different Christmas events and activities.

    We will be taking part in Bobble Hat Day, and will be designing our own hats. The Children will be making their own candles for Hanukkah, using junk modelling materials.

    The children will be learning about International Mountain Day and International Monkey Day.

    All of the team and children will be invited to take part in Christmas Jumper Day raising money for NSPCC.

    We will also be celebrating Bodhi Day, the children will be making fiscus tree’s which the children will decorate in the traditional fashion.

    The Children’s Christmas Parties and concerts are also coming up this month, we are all very excited.

    We also have the trip to see ‘How to Save a Lion’ at the Polka Theatre coming up for our Pre-School Academy.

    Father Christmas will also be making an appearance at Stars Day Nursery, We can’t wait to meet Father Christmas!

    The Children's Corner:

    • Freya and Reggie enjoyed making cakes together, they took it in turns to mix the mixture!
    • Thank you to all the Parents/Carers who donated for Children in Need! We raised £53.00
    • Munro was very excited to wear his Pyjamas to nursery for Children in Need!
    • Kush confidently matched the yellow compare bears with the yellow container!
    • Samuel painted his own traffic light, and named what each of the colours meant.
    • Isla and Isabelle really enjoyed wearing their pyjamas’ with their matching slippers for Children in Need!
    • Colin said ‘All done!’ after having his nappy changed!
    • Chloe and Ayeesha have enjoyed singing ‘Rock a Bye Baby’
