Stars Update – November 2016

    Welcome to our November Update!

October has been an exciting month, the children enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. We would also like to welcome all our new Children and Parents to Stars Day Nursery.

During October we celebrated National Black History Month, and enjoyed making African masks. The children enjoyed looking at their reflections in the mirror to look at similarities and differences.

We celebrated the People’s Republic of China, and enjoyed making our own Chinese plates.

We explored different types of animals for World Animal Day and also learnt about the solar system for World Space Week.

We had lots of fun getting messy for No Pens Wednesday, and had a great day engaging in role play.

The Children also learnt about the Battle of Hastings.

We celebrated Diwali and made fantastic rangoli patterns with rice.

For Halloween we had a great party and everyone’s costumes were brilliant. We enjoyed exploring pumpkins.

Coming up in November we will be taking part in ‘Teletubbies Week’.

We will also be making our own fireworks and rockets for Bonfire Night.

The Children will be visiting the local area to buy a poppy for Remembrance Day.

For Children In Need, we will be having a pyjama themed day to raise money for charity.

We will also be taking part in Road Safety Week.

Other celebrations will include Thanksgiving and St Andrew’s Day.

We hope you have a great November.
